The Muslim
Association of Professionals (MAP) extends a warm invitation to
attend this dinner to raise funds and awareness about the plight
of our fellow brothers and sisters under oppression in
Uzbekistan.
"There remain many thousands of political and religious
prisoners, and torture and brutality remain the instruments by
which the regime maintains its fierce grip. I came personally,
very close to incidents and victims ... The lad was eighteen.
His knees and elbows had been smashed by blows with a hammer, or
perhaps a spade or rifle butt. One hand had been immersed in
boiling liquid until the flesh was peeling away from the bone.
He had been killed with a blow that caved in the back of his
skull."
[Craig Murray, ex-British Ambassador to Uzbekistan]
"A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not
oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor.
Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfil
his needs; whoever relieved his (Muslim) brother out of a
discomfort, Allah will relieve him of the discomforts of the Day
of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will
screen him on the Day of Resurrection." [Sahih Al-Bukhari]
* A three course meal will be served (Turkish cuisine)
* £20 pounds per person
* Limited seating (100), please book in advance
* Facilities for brothers only
Hassen will auction one of his
paintings with all proceeds going towards the cause.

cultures and ethnic groupings, to our economy and goodwill
of our communities…” Prime Minister Tony Blair, Eid-ul
Fitr Celebrations 2004, House of Commons
Hassen Rasool was invited by the House of Commons and the

his hands to his ears, reciting the beautiful verses from
the Qur'an. His heartfelt performance was absorbed by the
tremendous crowd that attended the event.
